In a recent New York Times article, The American Geriatrics Society suggested that by the year 2030 there will be a need for 36,000 physicians with geriatric training to care for an estimated 76 million geriatric patients. Meanwhile, changes in the health care industry make it clear that this care will be provided mostly by primary care practitioners.

The Geriatrics Educational Conference & Exposition was created to meet the urgent need of primary care physicians and physician assitants to expand their skills in geriatric medicine. It will offer CME educational seminars and other programs that specifically address implementation of geriatric diagnosis and treatment techniques into primary care.

Conference programs present current techniques in a format that best mathces the knowledge base and clinical needs of the primary care practitioner. Our goal is to send medical professionals back to their practices ready to handle their growing geriatric caseload.
